On Thursday, 21st December 2023, the 3rd and last ODI of the Indian tour to South Africa was played. The Indian players performed well in the match between India and South Africa. It was held at Bolan Paarl at 4: 30 pm (as per Indian time).

Highlights of the 3rd ODI between Ind vs SA

Toss

South Africa won the toss and elected to field first.

Coming to the ground, Rajat Patidar, who was playing his first international ODI match for India, scored 22 runs in 16 balls. However, he was bowled by Nandre Burger. But he was still able to provide a positive start to the team.

Sai Sudharsan, who has performed well in the last two games, got out for only 10 runs in 16 balls. He was lbw by Hendricks.

Then came the turn for Sanju Samson. He scored his maiden century in an ODI, which also leads India to a big score. He made 108 runs from 114 balls.

The captain KL Rahul also added some runs in the score. He scored 21 runs from 35 balls.

Tilak Varma, who was not able to perform much in the past match, made a good partnership with Sanju Samson. He scored 52 runs from 77 balls.

Rinku Singh scored 38 runs from 27 balls, while with the help of other players, India Team managed to get to the score of 296.

India in all scored 296 runs in 50 overs by losing 8 wickets. 22 extras were given.

Target

297 was the target set for South Africa to win the game.

Arshdeep Singh's bowling was seen as the best of the bowling side.

He put in 9 overs, of which one was a maiden. He gave 30 runs by taking 4 wickets.

Mukesh Kumar also put in 9 overs. He gave 56 runs and took one wicket.

Axar Patel in 10 overs gave 48 runs by taking one wicket

Washington Sundar also put in 10 overs. He gave 38 runs by taking 2 wickets.

Avesh Khan put 7.5 overs. He gave 45 runs, taking two wickets.

South Africa were all out in 45.5 overs, making only 218 runs.

India won the match. Winning this match, India also won the series by 2-1.
